How we started and where we’re going…

As far back as I can remember, I've always been around business operations. My parents operated a retail flower and vegetable business, sold Christmas trees and managed several rental properties. While attending Boston University, I started and ran a successful ice cream business. In the early 80’s while spending time at our winter home in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, I met and befriended Jim Faulhaber who was operating a successful “power washing business”. I immediately saw the vast potential of this wonderful industry and was lucky enough to have someone unselfish enough to fuel my interest. Without doing any real market research in my area of New England, I moved forward. There were five operating power washing companies in my direct market area when we opened for business in the mid 1980s. Within one year all five businesses had vanished.

This was partly due to the economic conditions present in the tough North East market at the time and to some extent the presence of a young aggressive service oriented company-Mobile Power Wash of New England. From day one, Mobile Power Wash of New England was operated as a serious cleaning BUSINESS dedicated to customer service. Basic values were applied that were instilled growing up in our family business- treat customers the way we would want to be treated and always try to make every encounter a win-win situation. I was always brutally honest with anybody I had dealings with and always was a man of my word. There was a lot of trial and era due to the general lack of “industry based knowledge”. If there was a way I took it, if not I made it! We persevered and developed our systems based approach to cleaning. Equipment was refined over many years of testing in the field.

Today, Mobile Power Wash of New England abides by those same basic principals that founded the company almost two decades ago and benefits from our cleaning system approach and technological advances. However, we do not rest on our laurels because we are at the top of our game. Every job regardless of the size or price is still important to us, as is every customer. Because ultimately, in any service business, you're only as good as your last job. Mobile Power Wash of New England is still hungry!

Mike and Hope Cassidy

I would like to thank my friend, Jim Faulhaber for all his technical help and support; and my mother, Hope Cassidy (left) who unselfishly sacrificed while raising me after my father died. She instilled my work ethic and drive, my values and always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in my self. You are dearly missed and never forgotten!

Nancy J. Cassidy has been involved with Mobile Power Wash of New England for over a decade. She believes in the vast potential of our industry and in the philosophy that has made Mobile Power Wash of New England such a success. She has a working knowledge of all aspects of the business from the ground up as she operates her own cleaning rig and crew. Her responsibilities also include commercial sales development and marketing. Oh, and did I mention she is also my wife!
